Kelsey Park main bridge reopened
Work on the main bridge at Kelsey Park has now been completed and the bridge is open for use.
From Bromley council:
As you may be aware, we are pleased to confirm that works to the Kelsey Park Bridge have now been completed.
To ensure that access could be restored as quickly as possible, a soft opening was undertaken yesterday to allow the bridge to reopen without delay and to enable the site to be formally handed back to the Council. This also marked completion of the bridge restoration, with the Portfolio Holder for Environment, Cllr Will Rowlands, and the Friends of Kelsey Park in attendance.
Further information is available on the Councils website: Kesley Park Bridge opens, once again a glorious way to cross the lake London Borough of Bromley.
Reinstatement works at the Wickham Road entrance are continuing and are expected to be completed before the end of March, after which normal vehicular and pedestrian access will resume.
A formal opening event with the Mayor is being planned and will take place in due course. Thank you for all your support on this project to date.
